All lanes of Van Dyke Avenue at Interstate 696 will remain closed through Thursday evening in Macomb County.
Consumers Energy has been laying some new pipes under the road. For driver's, there is really only one option when it comes to avoiding the busiest roadway in the county. "Mound (Road), possibly," said driver Marcus Murray, who will be forced to find a detour.
Van Dyke Avenue was originally scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.
