Authorities are searching for a man who reportedly tried to drag a woman into woods along a Traverse City trail.
The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports Tuesday that the Garfield Township woman was not injured in Sunday's attack on Boardman Lake Trail.
Grand Traverse sheriff's officials say the woman was walking her dog behind an apartment complex when she was grabbed from behind.
She was able to fight the man off and run away.
Undersheriff Nate Alger says "nobody knows what" the man's intentions were and "it was clear he was trying to move her against her will into a wooded area, which is extremely frightening."
