Waterford police are looking for the man who pointed a gun at a clerk and said he needed money for his dying mother during a robbery last week at a convenience store.
Police said the man walked into the 7-Eleven on Crescent Lake Road on Sept. 12 and threatened a 58-year-old clerk with a long barreled pistol while demanding money from the register. The clerk told officers the gunman said his mother was dying of cancer. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the gunman fled.
No one was hurt.
Police have released images of the gunman that were taken on surveillance cameras.
He is described by police as white, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, 140 to 150 pounds with blue eyes. He was wearing a camouflage baseball hat.
Anyone with information is asked to call Waterford police at 248-618-6664.
