House fires erupt on Detroit's east side
Firefighters are fighting multiple abandoned home fires on Detroit's east side.
The fires burned several homes near Lamont and Nancy streets, near McNichols Road and Conant Street, Tuesday night. Three more homes were also burning nearby on Hasse Street. All the homes are abandoned, but they are near occupied homes.
A number of firefighters were called in from across the city to fight the fires.
It is not clear what caused the fires.
An investigation is underway.
